Gli animali furono
imperfetti, lunghi
di coda, plumbei
di testa.
Piano piano si misero
in ordine,
divennero paesaggio,
acquistarono in grazia, volo.
Le Arpie ( le “rapitrici”) nella mitologia greca sono delle creture mostruose nate secondo alcuni mitografi da Poseidone e da Gea secondo Esiodo da Taumante ed Elettra oppure da Tifone ed Echidna. Sono rappresentate come donne con le ali, o come uccelli dal viso di donna e dagli artigli aguzzi, con i quali rapiscono i bambini o le anime.

Poesia dedicata al Tarsio, un piccolo animale che si salva perchè “inutile”
Io, tarsio, figlio di tarsio,
nipote e pronipote di tarsio,
piccola bestiola, fatta di due pupille
e d’un resto di stretta necessita’;
scampato per miracolo ad altre trasformazioni,
perche’ come leccornia non valgo niente,
per i colli di pelliccia ce n’e’ di piu’ grandi,
le mie ghiandole non portano fortuna,
i concerti si tengono senza le mie budella;
io, tarsio,
siedo vivo sul dito d’un uomo.

La mosca era gelosa Dio sa come
d’una Farfalla piena di colori.
Tu -je diceva – te sei fatta un nome
perchè te la svolazzi tra li fiori:
ma ogni volta che vedo le ali tue
co’ tutto quer velluto e quer ricamo
nun me posso scordà quann’eravamo
poveri verminetti tutti e due …
